I was born and raised in the Mojave desert, but quit big horizons for big trees when I moved to Portland in 1999. Good choices, great friendships, some luck, and hard work allowed me to create Dear Heart Tattoo. I can't imagine my life without tattooing, I fall more in love with its magic every day. I gain inspiration from small creatures, antique botanical and medical illustrations, secluded hikes, vintage horror and most things macabre.

I regularly guest spot in Denver (CO), Los Angeles (CA), Las Vegas (NV), San Francisco (CA), Sante Fe (NM) and Austin (TX). Dates and details regarding guest spots, conventions and available designs are posted in my “highlighted” Instagram stories.

When I'm not tattooing I travel, ride motorcycles and get outside as much as possible. I collect bones, taxidermy, antiques and oddities and surround myself with as much of the natural world as I can bring inside.
